Your performance at the Toys for Tots tournament on 12/11 was certainly respectable. The team that won the competition indeed had to go through Team VolleyFreak, Jr. And I'm certain that if we had played with more determination and focus, we would have won all three of the games that we barely dropped to them. Congratulations on a job well done. That was certainly a great sign of things to come for you all. The Toys for Tots tournament was a great warm-up and team-building experience. And with that behind us, our first practice is just a few days from now. It's time to get focused and ready to grow together as a team, and realize our potentials as athletes in the great game of volleyball. In the next two weeks, please do your best to stay conditioned for a high level of play. Run a mile or two when time allows; make time for some lunges and jump squats; work your core (abs, obliques, and back) as often as possible. Speed and power in this sport start with your feet and your abs so concentrating your conditioning on these areas will make the biggest impact on your performance.
So, the countdown continues! Have a Happy Holiday and we'll see you all in two weeks, Coach Chad |

Please consider your individual goals for this year. Do you want to start varsity as a junior? Do you want to dominate the middle? Do you want to improve defensively? Coach Fortin and I are very serious about your individual progress. Please map out your expectations for this season and we will work you to attain those goals.
